Beyond i.i.d and fixed state integrated sensing and communication
Two of the most common information-theoretic modeling approach to ISAC has been fixed state and i.i.d state, implicitly capturing the setting of high and low mobility settings. However, a brief timing analysis into the models would reveal that the assumption of same coherence between communication and sensing events, and extreme state variability assumptions are amongst the weak points of these models.
We use the RINGS meeting with intel wireless team to present a joint beam alignment and communication problem to delve into altenative timing modeling of wireless events and address the overhead issue of traditional two stage beam alignment approach.
The work of same title has been submitted to ITW 2025. The pdf version of the keynote presentation can be found under the bibliography of publication page.
