This document explains the mathematical fundation for SDR synchronization that many take for granted. Goes into detail entire RF chain process and related derivations.

On a side note, the tutorials online in regard to the mathematical principles of OFDM on a matrix-vector terms are scanty at best, and mostly gloss over the details. This is a good paper in terms of explaining the concept.
